HECKLE finds live comedy near you. It works out where you are (or you type a postcode or town) and lists every show within 20 miles over the next two weeks, with a booking link on each one. You can switch between big names and fresh faces, or big rooms and tiny ones. Behind that sits a database of nearly 300 comedians and more than 200 UK venues. Every comedian gets their own page with their style, what kind of act they are, socials and upcoming UK dates. A "Where are they?" page covers the big international names who haven't played the UK lately, why, and whether they're on their way.
Who it's for: Anyone who wants a night out laughing and would rather not trawl five ticket sites to find one. Especially people who want to catch the next big thing in a 60-seat room before they're filling arenas.
Live show times come from Ticketmaster and Skiddle through a server-side proxy (/api/heckle.php) that keeps the API keys private, caches results, and remembers every new venue and act it sees. That way the database keeps growing towards “every room in the UK that’s had comedy”.
Plenty of pub and club nights sell tickets on the door or through their own websites and never reach the big ticket sites. So each venue page also links straight to that venue’s own listings.

Near-me search (auto location or postcode/town, 5-50 miles, 3-30 days), 296 comedians across four tiers (big names, headliners, rising, fresh faces) including the 2025 and 2026 Edinburgh Comedy Award winners and nominees, 211 venues from arenas to pub clubs, on-the-fly pages for any act or venue spotted in listings, and a Where are they? tracker for missing international stars. Live listings run through a server-side Ticketmaster + Skiddle proxy that harvests new venues and acts as it goes.
