Stumble revives the old "random interesting website" button. Search or browse a full taxonomy of categories, hit STUMBLE, and a hand-picked site loads right there on the page — no algorithm, no new tab. Love or trash a site to steer future stumbles toward (or away from) more like it, save searches to "My Interests" for one-click revisits, and follow a "rabbit hole" mode that goes several levels deep on a handful of topics.
Who it's for: Anyone who misses the feeling of stumbling onto something genuinely interesting online, instead of scrolling a feed.
Stumble is live and the curated database keeps growing as more sites get scraped, verified, and sorted into categories. A handful of sites decline to be shown in an iframe at all (their own security headers block it) — if STUMBLE lands you on a blank frame, hitting it again gets you somewhere else.
Love/trash weighting is currently per-browser (stored locally, not shared across visitors) — a global version that factors in everyone’s votes is a planned backend addition, not live yet. The bookmark/save icon currently prompts to create an account, which isn’t wired up either.

- 2026-08-06 Redeployed with the full-featured build — search, category taxonomy, My Interests, heart/trash weighting, and rabbit-hole mode, up from the earlier bare-bones version.
- 2026-08-04 Deployed live on the site — the stumble button, category filter, and full link database all run directly at /apps/stumble/.
- 2026-05-06 Scraping, quality-filtering and category-enrichment pipeline built out — over 1,000 verified links live in the current database.
